Done, done, done….Beanie now waiting for the scarf

 Becky's Beanie

It is a nice size, and squishy, too!  I am working on an infinitive scarf, 6" wide in Malabrigo Rios. I have two skeins of a purple multi blended but am having to change every two rows between the two as one is slightly lighter than the other so it looks better "blended"…photos later.

Coco

Coco visited the vet to get an ear cleaned out and her nails trimmed. This ear business is becoming a regular occurrence. I am taking her back in two weeks to have them give her antibiotics again and clean it again to make sure we get it all. This vet doesn't test on the spot like some vets do.

Tommy Socks

As a whole, I am fairly disappointed in the vet care in the Waco area. They won't do X-rays to see if Tommy Socks has a tumor on his liver or near his gallbladder which is what the emergency vet thought might be the case. They send you off to a specialist in radiology about an hour and a half north or south, take your pick. He isn't responding as well to his insulin as I think he should, so I guess if he never does it will be indicative of a tumor. I honestly think he is going downhill slowly. Some days are better than others.

UPDATE: Here in Idaho my vet found out that Tommy has something akin to IBS. With meds to calm his bowels and stomach he is doing MUCH better. He is now off insulin. She X-rayed him and it turns out one kidney is too small…so much smaller that you almost can't see it on the X-ray. No way to know if the Waco vet would have found it and we might have figured out what caused it. PLUS with his sore stomach we might have found out what that was. Simply inexcusable. I wonder now if they have given my dog Brodie the care he deserved if he would have not died on the way her of kidney failure. So beware.

Calf Warmers

My most special-daughter is making me a set of calf warmers for my birthday. I can't find them anywhere that are actually the right kind. The sets I have purchased as for a slouchy look…I want them fitted like we used to have. More like what they now call boot socks (without the foot). I have varicose veins and can't get in and out of the regular tight socks, or those made for varicose veins. My old calf warmers (as they were once called) work just fine. Just don't have enough of them.  As a matter of fact, I need to get up and put one on!

Have a brilliant day crocheting or knitting!

😊
