Starting a doily

 GHOST'S

Boo! is the name of the pattern….and it is super cute.

We are doing an 'along' in my group on Ravelry.  "Any Ol' Little Thing Along" is the name, and it is so we can just choose what we want.  More or less getting ready for Christmas for some, donations to charities for others. Just a nice little place to chat and show off what we are doing.  I get most of my ideas from the other ladies in the group, as in this pattern.

My small beginnings….

I'm actually further along than this….am making it for my DSD as the whole family celebrates Halloween each year with a party for the families of their friends….kids and adults alike.

I may make another one for my niece in Boston if I have time. I think they celebrate Halloween, too.

Cute, right???

She has several patterns. This one is a free download, and I think the others might be, too…am not sure. Check her out, and come join us on the group along!

Finished and sent

Just a simple ripple stitch…it wasn't too tiring, and loved how it became a lovely gentle wave.

I started looking at old afghans from swaps and the one below is one of my favorite. I gave it to my sister-in-law.  She crocheted, but did not make large projects.  Would not mind making one in these two colors for myself!

This one is my second favorite, and it also went to a sister-in-law. They decorated  their home in a western theme.

All the yarn is Vanna's Choice, except the baby afghan which is Bernat's Waverly which is now discontinued, unfortunately.

42" and struggling!

 42"

Yes, I am getting closer to the goal, but with the width at 42" and the length about the same, it is getting harder to handle. I'm having to crochet at my dining room table which is counter height and the chairs are had and tall, too. Meaning my legs dangle if I can't put them somewhere.

So I only get to crochet for about 30 or 40 minutes. Spend the rest of the time fussing with the dogs.

Coco being quiet and relaxed in the sun after several rain showers that went through. Lightening storms were nearby, but not right over us.

Her sister, Ginger, close by rolling around with great joy!

The Riley wanted to get in the act! I took several photos in a row and this was the last one…all showing him stretching with great drama!

Brodie, the old man at 5 1/2, stayed in the house on and just hung out. Looks a little sulky to me!

One of the Cosmos flowers blooming! It is snug in a group of California poppies

And last but not least a conical snail…these eat other snails. People put them out in the garden, usually a vegetable garden or super expensive flower garden, and they do away with the bothersome snails. They do not eat the flowers or plants….just snails!  The snails here are white. Had never seen that before. I guess it helps protect them from the sun during the summer.

Hope your weekend is going to be sunny and bright! We expect rain…again.
