New Sweater

 

This pattern is another from Michele DuNaier, Pistachio Gelato.  I used a K hook and worsted weight yarn. However, I used Bernat Mosaic and it feels like a rug! Unfortunately I have a lot of this so perhaps I SHOULD make a rug!

I started another in the same pattern using a I hook, and Red Heart Baby TLC, a size 3 yarn. It’s a bit squeaky, but nice overall. I think the color I am using, Lovey, really looks good!

Not sure how small it will be, but am thinking an 18” chest. 

My DSD sent a photo of her wearing the scarf I sent her. 6” wide and about 20” long folded. Malabrigo. 

I made little fingerless mitts, too. Her photo is a better showing of the color. That’s my grand puppy, Chewie. He is a Leonberger, a German giant breed dog.

Another little sweater

I made the same sweater but in a different colorway, and long sleeved. 

I LOVE this one. 💕💙

AND AGAIN…

The color doesn’t look as pretty as it is, but you can see it is more like Easter  

I am using a smaller hook and a different yarn  this is Lion Brand Mandala Baby in Diagon Alley  which is a place in the Harry Potter books.  This is where all their shopping is accomplished. Not sure what this color has to do with it  

I sure hope I get to see Olivia wear one of these sweaters when Letha visits this summer.

For Olivia

 A little sweater for Olivia

Olivia is the granddaughter of my friend who I rarely see. She is going on one year old.  I gave the sweater to her sister to hold until she gets here this summer for a visit. It will be too big for her, but that is okay. Better too big than too little!

The yarn is part wool, and the main is acrylic. It is super soft! It's Stylecraft Batik Swirl in Highland. Have almost enough for another sweater! Maybe a bit smaller.

The pattern is by Michele DuNaier called 2 1/2 Hour Nap.  Took me longer, but I end up getting up and down a lot while crocheting.  I think it took two days with intermittent stretches of crocheting.
