SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

HOME-SWEET-HOME

The Spring flowers are beginning to make a  showing (along with some dandelions!).  I had my tulips planted late this year, so they may not put forth the root system they need to survive.
The Naked Lady I planted two years ago rotted out I think. I need to be in a dryer climate, and perhaps warmer, for them to survive. We had them in South Carolina and in San Diego.  I tried planting them in Idaho, but they weren't happy. Don't know if they survived.
Below is in my front yard along side of the driveway. Daffodils and Iris, along with California Golden Poppies. They survived all winter it was so mild!

Below is in front of the fence line at the front of the front yard….mouthful to say fast! Only some of these were planted by me…most are survivors from the previous owner's plantings.

Very early this morning there seemed to be more snow on the mountains. It was quite chilly and serene. The sun was just barely coming up…the joys of having dogs waking the dead at O'dark hundred!

My neighbors decorative plum trees. So beautiful!

These are the Wallflowers that always bloom first in the backyard. Forgot what the little purple ones are, but they don't stay little. They get huge. Might be the Silver Dollar plant.

No crocheting to show. I started knitting on a scarf for myself but it is slow going. The virus has only made me lazier instead of more productive.  You know Gone With The Wind? Well, I'm in that frame of mind….I can do it tomorrow!

Since I have time, I need to find the energy and start photographing projects.

You have a safe and delightful day. I'm looking forward to the day when I am all moved into a nice new clean house in Texas!

Pink Mermaid Finished!

ELLIE'S MERMAID TAIL

The back, below, isn't quite right to my way of thinking. I believe the split should be longer so she doesn't have to climb into it so much. Ah….experimenting on the young!

Eva's yarn in purple.

The next mermaid outfit will be in these two colors. I think I have learned a lot making the last two, and intend to apply that knowledge to the next one.  THEN comes Jack's crocodile outfit! He doesn't know about it yet, but want to have it completed by his birthday, June 1st. He was born on my husband Steve's birthday. Mine is the 2nd.
Eva was born on Sid and my anniversary, the year he passed away several months later.
Ellie was born in June, past any of our family dates. Was hoping she would be late enough to be born on my mom's birthday but she just could not wait!!
Zoe is a January baby. She is such a cutie…but then they have all been super super cute! I think Jack looks like a little George Clooney!

Three of my babies. Ginger above guarding her ball. As you can see my yard is pretty dug up. Actually muddy. Luckily we have had nearly a full week of sun which had been a help

How about an ocean sunset? A mermaid outfit? A Yarn Barn? or even a Grey Scarf!

Isn't this beautiful! My DSD took this in Seaside, OR this past weekend while there for a baseball tournament in which my granddaughter was participating.  What a wonderful photo composition!

Then we have the start of the tail section of the mermaid outfit…resting on my lap while watching TV.  Very thick!

Here it is almost finished! Yay! It will take me a couple more days because I spend too much time catering to my dogs.  I'll attach it, weave in the ends and send it off!!!

Today was the first sunny day we have had in a month of Sundays! I almost forgot what a blue sky really looked like.  That little house is my Yarn Barn. Full of yarn that I had when I owned a yarn shop.  Just had the big RV garage cleaned up so have a few more containers of yarn to add to the mix.

My grey scarf!  Still the same as it was the last time I posted about it.  Don't remember when that was but had to be two or three years ago!  I bought another skein to finish it, but not could not tell you where it is located.  Will start going on fishing expeditions to find it so I can get this one over and out!

I hope you find all the yarn you need hidden under the bed!!
