Peaceful backyard...

Just a quick note...sharing a photo of part of my back yard...I love the flame orange deciduous azalea in the back....looks yellow in the second photo with my old doggie.

This is my 15 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, Chuckie.  He is totally blind in one eye, according to the vet, and can only see our the side of the other eye.  That's why he looks like he is turning his head to ignore you, but really, he is looking at you because he can only see out that side!  So sweet and spoiled.  He had his physical and the doc said if he had not been told he was that old he would never have known it from the blood work.  Thank goodness...he is the last little man in my life and want to keep him around as long as he is happy to be here.

I have the corner I was sitting in filled with a bamboo love seat and a doggie bed, and soon with a tiny table.  I'm finding, though, that the morning sun is now coming up as to where it hits that area, so plan to get some shade put up back there...a Sunsetter shade or one of those big round things....something!

Hope this finds you in sunshine and good weather for the days ahead!

New Shawl....finally! ;o)

Alrighty, here it is at the crack of dawn on the West Coast (the sun has been up over an hour already, just not me) and Paula noted that my last post did not have the shawl in it at all. Poor old Cat. She is having a hard time keeping up with herself!

This is the shawl that we are working on in our group on Ravelry.  It is from Drops and is called Edelweiss pattern 145-6.  We all have had a bit of a time following the directions - which are in English, but I would have to say not written in the way that American crochet designers write.  It is written the way they write their patterns in Europe.  Takes a lot to interpret...but interpret we do!

This is through row seven, starting row eight...using Unforgettable by Red Heart.

Then this is about row 11 I think.....

Now this is about row 26...

And THIS is what I am using...a gift from my BFF Bev

It is very handy to have...keeps everything right beside me!

What are YOU working on these days?

Latest Afghan: This one for Bev.....

Well, here I am again finally.  Was shamed into finally getting around to writing a post.

Now the move is basically over and all the boxes are piled up if not already opened, I started to crochet again.  It has been fun.

Put some squares together that Jamie and Marianne sent to me for Bev's comfortghan.  It took me a little too long to get it out as she was home and nearly recuperated before she received it!  Still have two squares left over to make a little 'ghan for Sparky!

And here is a bit of my Spring - so much earlier in Oregon than it was in Idaho!

Have a great day!
